Chinese Zodiac
Enter your date of birth to see your zodiac animal, your element, and whether this year is a clash year for you. It also explains what a clash year actually means and how the types differ, because most people know only that "this year is a clash" without knowing which kind or what follows from it.

The mistake almost everyone makes
The Chinese zodiac year does not turn over on 1 January. It changes at Chinese New Year, which falls somewhere between late January and mid-February and moves each year. People born early in the year therefore often have the wrong animal their whole lives. This works from your full date of birth, so if you were born near that boundary, enter the full date rather than just the year.
What you get back
The result is split into parts you can read one at a time, rather than a single long block.
- Your animal sign and element, with the traits the tradition attaches to it
- Whether this is a clash year for you, and which type
- Commonly followed remedies, with the ones you can do yourself listed first
- Signs considered compatible and incompatible, for comparing with people around you
Limits to understand first
This is for entertainment. A clash year does not mean something bad will happen, and observing a remedy guarantees nothing. What is worth watching is that clash years attract unusually aggressive selling of ceremonies and amulets. Decide from your own peace of mind, not because someone is hurrying you.
