The draw comes first, then the explanation
The order matters more than it seems. If the prediction comes first and a slip is fitted to it afterwards, the result always matches the question and therefore means nothing. Here the draw happens first and is then explained — the same order as shaking the sticks in person.
What to do with an unwelcome result
An unfavourable slip is useful because it makes you examine what you were worried about, not because it will come to pass. Shaking again until you get one you like leaves nothing to think about.
